The Olympics in Paris 2024, which commenced on July 26 and will continue until August 11, are showcasing the best athletes from across the world in the city that is considered to be the world’s fashion capital. The attire that Team India wore to the Paris Olympics have been criticized, but The Designer Tarun Tahiliani has defended them by noting that they adhered to Olympic requirements and honored tradition. Attendees at the opening ceremony wore costumes that paid homage to the diverse cultural traditions and fashions of their home nations. Compared to the high fashion standards set by other countries, the ensembles, which consist of sarees decorated with digital prints and tricolor patterns and simple kurta sets, have been criticized for being uninspiring. Nevertheless, the attire of Team India, which was created by renowned designer Tarun Tahiliani, has not been well-received.
